History of Residence:
PRISM was contacted by homeowners Michelle and Jeremy in the summer of 2005. The couple has four children between the ages of 3 and 8. Their home was built in 2002, and pretty much the day that they moved in, strange paranormal events had been witnessed by the entire family. Prior to 2002, the land where the house was built was farmland.
Paranormal activity witnessed by the family involved hearing lots of bumps and bangs, plus some electrical anomalies.
There had been many instances when things around the house would turn
on by themselves. Power tools, appliances, and even their truck started
up on their own. The scariest thing that had happened to Michelle, was
when one night, while she was alone in the
house, all of the children's mechanical toys, which were stored in an
open container in the boys' room, turned on by themselves.
Another event involved their 5-year-old daughter witnessing a full-bodied apparition of a young girl (in her late teens) on several occasions both outside of the house by a nearby creek and through her bedroom window. The spirit of the girl was wearing a white dress with blood stains in the abdominal area. On one occasion, she was heard asking for her mother.
When further research of the area was done by PRISM, we found out that two teenagers and a farmer were murdered very close to the house by spree killer Charles Starkweather in 1958 (see the Meyer farm investigation for more details on the murders.) Could the apparition seen possibly be the ghost of 16-year-old Carol King, one of Starkweather's victims who was killed nearby?

On the night of August 11, 2005, PRISM's lead investigator David Rodriguez, and PRISM investigators Dan Christianson, Karen C., and Trevor Redmond conducted a pre-investigation of the Bennet, NE residence. We also interviewed the home's owners, Jeremy and Michelle B., regarding their experiences in the home.

A couple of light anomalies photographed outside of the house. The anomaly on the left may be an insect, but the anomaly on the right is not. Notice the shadow cast on the grass, directly underneath the light anomaly on the right side of the photo.

Bennet Residence - Basement
This light anomaly, along with a faint orbs, was captured next to the bed of Jeremy's father, who passed away in October of 2004. It was in this exact area that every single one of the investigators experienced a strange feeling.
PRISM lead investigator David Rodriguez can be see taking photos and checking for EMF spikes with a CellSensor EMF meter. David explained the feeling near the bed as a numbness in his right arm. He said that it felt just as if his arm had been asleep for a while and was just starting to get the blood flowing through it again.
A CellSensor EMF meter briefly spiked from 0 to 10mG twice around the time this photo was taken.

Some orbs, including a very bright one, appear around PRISM investigator and sensitive, Karen C., while walking around the basement. Shortly before this picture was taken, Karen felt something tug at the bottom of her pants.

A bunch of orbs show up over PRISM investigator and sensitive Anney H. while sitting on the bed of Jeremy's father, who passed away in October of 2004. Anney is using her crystal pendulum.
Although not very scientific, subtle changes in the swing of the pendulum are believed by some to indicate the presence of a spirit in the room.

EVP: CLASS C
In this audio clip recorded in the basement of the Bennet house, a whispering voice can be heard. It is hard to tell what is being said.
The only two investigators down in the basement at this time were Carl N. and Dan C. None of them were talking, and they did not hear this voice until listening back to the audio recording.

This EVP was recorded by PRISM investigator Carl N. in the basement of the Bennet residence on a digital audio recorder on August 19, 2005. In the second clip, the audio was cleaned up with noise reduction using Adobe Audition software.
EVP: CLASS A
In this audio clip recorded in the basement of the Bennet house, a very mysterious whooshing sound can be heard. The only two investigators down in the basement at this time were Carl N. and Dan C.
After Dan says, "We don't mean any trouble." then a loud whoosh is heard. Dan then mumbles something, and Carl says, "Oh man, I'm just breaking out in goose bumps right now." Carl felt a strange feeling at the exact time that the EVP was recorded. Both Carl and Dan did not hear the whooshing sound until listening back to the audio recording.

PRISM Paranormal Pre-Investigation
Date: 8/29/05 & 8/30/05
A couple of days after our investigation, we were contacted by Michelle who told us that one of her boys saw the apparition of the young girl in the living room. He explained to his mother that when he entered the room and saw the girl, she turned to look at him, and then immediately disappeared through a wall. Nonetheless, the boy was very traumatized by what he saw and refused to get out of bed the following morning.
Michelle asked if we could come back to the house, and on 8/29, PRISM investigators Dan C. and Ralph D. revisited the house.
On 8/30, PRISM investigators Carl N., Trevor R., and Amber J., revisited the house.
