History: The Palace Theater opened in 1913. It quickly became the most famous vaudeville house ever. The Palace Theater was transformed into a movie house in 1932, but re-opened, refurbished, in 1951 with the fabulous performance of Judy Garland. The Palace Theater was home to Elton John and Tim Rice's musical Aida, but starting in February of 2005, the Palace became home to All Shook Up, a musical inspired by the songs of Elvis Presley. The theater seats 1,784 people.
