This home in Des Moines was built in 1957 and was purchased by Doug H. and Don B. in October of 2004. The home had two known previous owners. The PRISM team received a request to investigate the house in January of 2005.

and Dan Christianson visited the Des Moines home to conduct an interview with the owner of the home, Doug H. and to conduct a pre-investigation of the home. The pre-investigation included mapping out the home, baseline testing of EMF and temperature readings, taking baseline photos and video of the home, and audio recording tests.

During the interview, Doug H. spoke of various apparitions, strange smells, missing objects, and drastic temperature fluctuations. One apparition which appears in both the master bedroom and sometimes the guest bedroom is described as a white, shimmery energy form, made up of what he senses to be made up of several entities. The second apparition which appears in the living room is described as a "dark" energy formation, made up of what he believes to be a single male entity. The third spirit, which has been noticed in office #1, seems to be the spirit of Don's recently deceased mother. Her ashes are located in an urn in office #1, next to a framed photo of her, and a family heirloom. The smell of woman's perfume has been noticed in that room.

Upon entering the master bedroom for the first time, David R. felt a feeling of pressure in his chest. Both David R. and Dan C. noticed that the smell in the master bedroom, guest bedroom, and office #1, tended to change every time they re-entered each one of those rooms.

During PRISM's baseline testing of the home, we encountered what seemed to be perhaps a spherical-shaped energy formation hovering through the middle of office #2 at a very slow pace. Previous testing of the room had shown the room to be clear of any EMF readings, except for the area by the washer and dryer, which gave off a slight reading of approximately 1 milligauss. When he tested the room a second time half an hour later, he got a reading of 3 to 6 mG in an area hovering in the center of the room. This area of energy was approximately 1.5' in diameter and seemed to move across the room at a very slow pace, from the center of the office to a closet located on the far end of the office. When David R. noticed this "ball" of energy, he called both Dan C. and Doug H. into the room for witness verification. The EMF reading was also verified by a second EMF meter. Dan took two photos of the event. An orb appears in both Photo #1 and Photo #2.

Upon reviewing the audio tests taken by Dan C. at the Des Moines residence, the investigators realized that they had captured various EVP on tape.
